Wealthy Heights Community Land Trust: 2003-2007
Working with several project partners we are developing the first land trust in Grand Rapids that will revitalize while
providing perpetual affordable home ownership options.

Uptown Collaboration: 2003-2006
Worked on developing and supporting a collaboration between four adjacent business districts based on marketing potential.
The effort grew to encompass the area neighborhood associations and was awarded a Cool Cities designation by the State of
Michigan. The Uptown Committee is now a self-sustaining entity guided by representatives from each partner organization. www.uptowngr.org

Free Radical Gallery: 2002-2005

Created an arts based economic development tool that provided alternative venues for artists to display their work; reconnected
art and artists with the larger community; and provided a means to showcase the potential of traditional business districts.

Wealthy Street Banners, 2004
In collaboartion with ArtWorks, I worked with teen apprentices in developing banners for the Wealthy Street Business District.
I produced the final designs from patterns developed by the students.

Organized and directed a collaboration where a highway overpass was transformed into a community gateway.

Coit Kids Grow
Developed and presented an interactive, interdisciplinary science through art curriculum to central-city 6th graders.
The final works were exhibited at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art.

Belknap Kids Salsa Garden, Belknap Community Garden
Assisted with the development and upkeep of a community garden in an central-city neighborhood. Area residents and children
were educated on gardening from seed start to food preservation.
